Since I use hibernation on my XPSP2 PC's, one of them (HP media center PC)

reboots after some time without any apparent reason. Is there any setting to

overcome this behaviour? Thanks for any advise.

What causes you to believe hibernation has anything to do with your

rebooting?

Your system is crashing, and this may very well have nothing at all to do

with hibernation. Look in the System logs for error messages to see

what's crashing.

I feel sorry, because I now see that I incorrectly phrased my problem. The

problem is that my computer spontaniously boots up after some time (>15min)

I engaged hibernation.

Re: Hibernation and unwanted reboot.

Try this: Go into BIOS and disable "Wake on LAN".
