Verizon Express Card S'ware Blocks WiFi

After installing the s'ware for my Verizon Express Card my WiFi

connection does not work; Windows sees my three 802.11 networks, but

the Verison software attempts to connect (even though the card is not

plugged in) and no attempt is made to connect via my 802.11 network(s).

I know of no way to tell the machine to ignore the Verizon s'ware when

the card is absent.

How can I get the Verizon software to yield to 802.11 when the card is

absent?

TIA

You might see whether there are any such options within the Verizon software

itself, or check with their tech support for the most expert help.
