What make and model is the motherboard Alan?

Do you know if your board will support that cpu?

Most boards will support the newer chips with a BIOS update -

IF the board is a native 1066FSB a BIOS update to support 1333FSB chips will work - but some are better than others.

If you are looking to upgrade to a 1333FSB chip you are really better off buying a board that has a native 1333FSB.

Depending what you are after in terms of speed - you can get the MOBO CPU and RAM (4GB) Here (UK) for around £200 ;)
