Guest Newbie Coder Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Re: usb mp3 player not getting insatlled Sumit, If your USB device is picked up as a drive in My Computer & isn't showing then try this: Plug in the device Right-click MY COMPUTER | MANAGE | DISK MANAGEMENT & if you see the device listed, right-click it & change drive letter -- Newbie Coder (It's just a name) "sumit" <sumit@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:22881B6F-224C-432A-8D83-79E5B6A93DBC@microsoft.com... > hi, > > i have a sansa mp3 player which didnot come with any drivers and it works > fine with my win 98 system but doesnot work with my xp sp2 systems and comes > up with exclamation mark in device manger. have tried disabling enhanced > controller from Device manager still dinot help.. my usb ports work as i have > connected printer and keyboard and alll devices work... have also tried > disabling services still didnot help and also tried disconnecting all other > usb devices and connected only that mp3 player still no go.... please help... > i have bought 2 of those mp3 players and none work with this system... have > also tried updating chipset drivers still no go

Attaching it directely to an USB port on the computer's back side is also a good idea to sort out problem with extension cables or the internal cables to the front ports. Uwe

Guest Bob Seymour Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Re: usb mp3 player not getting insatlled sumit, I can't seem to get this link to work, but if you copy and paste to your browser it links to a forum which has discussions on Sansa mp3 players. I seem to remember that this problem has been on the e200 series forum. http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6 Regards, Bob S.
