Guest mister313 Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Whenever an insertion point window appears (the place where the tab is flashing to enter information) I find that my mouse pointer must be held within that window and not on some other part of the screen in order for the input to begin. I'm pretty sure that the default allowed entry of characters into that window no matter where the mouse pointer was on the screen.I changed the default for this at some time in the past but I don't remember how I did it. Can anyone advise?
Guest MM Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 RE: insertion point window Did you try the following solution: Go to Control Panel Double/single click Mouse, and this will open Mouse Properties window Go to Pointer Options and click "Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box" Click OK Hope this works MM "mister313" wrote: > Whenever an insertion point window appears (the place where the tab is > flashing to enter information) I find that my mouse pointer must be held > within that window and not on some other part of the screen in order for the > input to begin.
