IE creating additional shortcuts

Hi all,

I've just upgraded 2 PC's from XP Home to XP Pro. Now, when the users double

click IE (6) on their desktop, IE doesn't launch, but a shortcut to IE is

created on the desktop. This happens as many times as the users double click

the IE icon. Any ideas ? Many thanks.

Regards Colin.

You need to change the File association to Open instead of Copy, to that you

need to open the Windows Explorer then click Tools >> Folder Options >> File

Type and there select HTML and click on Advanced Button, make sure under

Actions:

Open is the default Actions.

To modify an existing file type
