Guest Aitch Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Somehow my shortcuts to IE (and there isn't one in the IE directory) have disapppeared and my Start-->Search-->For Files or Folders... function brings up a blank search function. IE works if I initialize Windows Upgrade and go to the internet from there. How do I restore these two functions.

Create a shortcut to "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" The Properties of the shortcut should have %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% in the "Start In:" pane. I doubt this is absolutely necessary though. -- Joe =o)
