Excel keeps losing it's file association

Seems like every time I try to open an excel shortcut it starts to go through

the install phase with Front Page. If I cancel the installer, the Excel

program then loads but without the file. I then do an open folder and find

the correct file and then it opens it. What is causing this please?

Re: Excel keeps losing it's file association

One common fix for this is.................

Close Excel first and On the Windows Taskbar

1) Start>Run "excel.exe /unregserver"(no quotes)>OK.

2) Start>Run "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.

See the space between exe and /regserver

You might have to designate a full path to excel.exe.

In that case Start>Run "C:\yourpath\excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.
