Can I delete programs in the program folder that is not listed in the

Add/Remove. I do not want these programs anymore on my C drive?

Have you checked that they have no way of uninstalling themselves?

In their start menu entries, in the program files folders, etc?

 

(UNWISE.EXE, UNINSTALL.EXE, etc)

Yes providing they do not have an uninstall feature as described by Shenan.

Also, some folders might contain remnants of programs previously uninstalled

and can be deleted.

I agree with the comments by Shenan and Ron. Once removed you may still

find references in a Start-Up location to them. These can be removed

using Autoruns.
