In windows 11 after I have moved my user library folders to another drive using the properties\location\move method can I delete the original folders

In windows 11 after I have moved my user library folders to another drive using the properties\location\move method can I delete the original folders?I still have some apps that open the empty original folders and the new folders instead of just the new.How do I get rid of all references to the old ones.
