A little issue I have , My friend purchased MS Home & student last year and you are permitted to installit on 3 pc,s which it has done hers, mine and her mothers

 

My issue now is I want mine to be on my laptop now not desktop .. I have disc but I am assuming that it wont allow me yet again to register with the code , Does anyone know how I will achieve this I certainly dont want to have to go and buy a new product when I already have it :)

 

And microsoft website is a maze I can never locate anywhere i can mail for help :mad:

I think it would be very much within the rules to do so as you are still using three computers and are the singular owner. The following article may explain it in more detail.

 

Is it OK to install Office on multiple PCs?

 

Be sure to uninstall it from your Desktop after you have installed it on your Laptop. Let us know if it helps or not. Good Luck. :)

Chances are it will register the serial online as does Vista.

You will need to remove from the old PC and then install on the laptop with the serial and see what it says - you may have to call microsoft as you do with Vista upon reinstalling :mad:
