hiya i'm trying get on the internet ut its not connecting, all the leads are in the right places it says on the pc it is connected i have ran a troubleshooter and it sas i haven't got a PING, how do i get one...

Hello Mike. Please try to elaborate as much as you can when posting such problems. To see if you can get a ping from a website or not, perform the following instructions.

 

1) Click on Start.

2) Click Run....

3) Type in Command in the Open box and press Ok.

4) In the command prompt window, type in ping xxxxxxxxx.

 

Note: Here xxxxxxxxx refers to the name of a website. You can also replace them with your router number like 123.456.78.90 as may apply in your case.

 

See if it gets a ping or not. Post back the results as soon as possible. Good Luck. :)

If you have a working DNS then you don't need the IP address, you can simply ping www. google. com (without the spaces).

 

Here's an IP address you can ping: 64.233.169.104
