I deleted the D: drive. How do I get that deleted volume stoage back and usable?

My C: drive is almost full and I deleted the D: drive thinking the storage would automatically go to the C: drive. I did it via "Disk Management" at the Start Menu.How do I get that deleted volume stoage back? I can't see it on my PC. Do I need to put in a new partiotion?
