If you have a DVD burner drive installed, then yes you can burn DVD's.

The ability to burn a DVD is not included in any version of XP.

First off, you need a DVD burner. Second, you would need to use

a third party program. They are often bundled with the DVD

drive. If you don't have one, here's a free one that will do

the job.

No. And even if your PC is equipped with a DVD burner drive (which you

will know from the text on the front of the drive itself), you have to have

3rd party software to write to DVDs.

Unfortunately, that doesn't provide any information about the drive itself

or the software installed.

The drve will probably have the letters DVD/RW on the drive tray, and

possibly "DVD Recorder". If it just says DVD, it can't write to them.

If your system is a desktop, you can get a DVD burner drive with software

(usually Nero etc) for around CDN$50.

Re: DVD Burning

In order to burn DVD's you need to

1. Have a DVD drive that burns/Writes DVD not just reads

and

2. Install software that will allow for the writing to DVD's as Windows

XP will not do it.

In any computer store. If you buy a burner (hardware) there will

probably be software in the package. Burner software can also be

bought separately.

Fuggedaboudit. You're obviously not smart enough to either install it

It amazes me how little some folks do their own research before they

come to a forum like this and start firing off questions that can be

easily answered my most any teenager with an IQ over 100.

Windows XP does not come with DVD-burning software. Whether your

computer comes with it, I don't know.

You need such DVD-burning software, and you also need a DVD drive that

supports DVD burning. Some drives are CD only, some are CD plus

DVD-reading, and some do everything. What your computer has, I don't

know.
