Jared Hill Posted July 1, 2008 Author Posted July 1, 2008 is there a best class or class mix? or all about even? Quote This site is Fantastic
Guest Wolfeymole Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 You'll have to wait for Dave mate, he's the man for Guild Wars or unless another member can offer opinions. Either which way. :) Quote
Jared Hill Posted July 1, 2008 Author Posted July 1, 2008 kk ty for the site still reading lol Quote This site is Fantastic
Dalo Harkin Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 It depends on what you are after and what game you buy as the later games had more classes. PROPHECIES is the first game and the classes are:- Warrior Monk Necromancer Ranger Elementalist Mesmer FACTIONS had the addition of the ASSASSIN and RITUALIST and NIGHTFALL had the addition of the DERVISH and PARAGON If you buy Prophecies I would go for a warrior as you can just get in the middle of all the fights and they deal good damage so you can go out alone if you wish, some of the other classes are for when you get a bit better like the Elementalist and Monk as they require you to be precise with energy management and casting one spell and then instantly another which can be hard if you are unfamiliar to the game :D Guild Wars Rules :D:D:D Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
Jared Hill Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 I was thinking about a monk/ritualist, I think you can mix classes ive seen Monk/rangers on youtube. managing energy shouldnt be a problem when I learn what it is lol (I assume like magic/spirit points) but which game is it I should buy to get those classes? or would you sugest against that mix? AdvancedSetup Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I've only played briefly - like the Unreal Tournament type games a lot more, as well as Racing games. My son plays WOW every day as most players do  . Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Dalo Harkin Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 You would need to get either Factions or Nightfall - Ok its hard to explain but you could not have that combo easily as the energy requirements are more than a monk gives - you get around 55points of energy with a monk but ritualist skills cost around 15 each so you would cast 3 and be out of energy - there are ways to get around it but it involves being an elementalist as they can have up to 110 energy and if you have a ritualist or monk as secondary - you would have all the energy you need ;) Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.

Dalo Harkin Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I have a warrior that is a TANK (Dalo Harkin) I have a Necromancer that is a Minion Master (Dalo Necro) I have a Paragon that is a support damage dealer (Dalo Para) and I have an elementalist that just kills everything :D (Dalo Ele) See what I have done with the names :D:D Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
Jared Hill Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 hum nope how you came up with those names is a total mystery to me :D I noticed no multi classes, Is it better to only focus on one kind of spells? Quote This site is Fantastic
Dalo Harkin Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Each class has a primary strengh for eg. a Monk has a primary Skill called Devine Favor and every point that you put into makes your healing spells 3% stronger - BUT there are 3 types of Monk There is:- Heal Protection Smite you have enough points at level 20 to MAX one and you can max another when you get max armor and add runes. so you can get Level 13 Devine Favor and 14 on for eg Heal I always max what you focus on as they are more beneficial. for eg a monk with level 1 in heal on one spell will heal for 40 points a monk with level 14 in heal on one spell will heal for 170 points. Guest Wolfeymole Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 and I have an elementalist that just kills everything :D (Dalo Ele) Wicked lol, sounds like someone I know. Quote
Jared Hill Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 Is the heal worth lvled because if it starts lvl1 heals 40 then each lvl it goes up by 10. (remebr I have no idea the damage on this, most games ive seen like it, the damage is about 2500(2moons and tales of pirates)) Quote This site is Fantastic
Dalo Harkin Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Yes its levelled by the more attribute points you put into heal. you gain attibute points by gaining experience and experience is gaines by killing monsters. have a look on guildwars wiki thats the best site for builds and help etc Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.

JEBWrench Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 When I played, I had the most fun with a Ranger/Monk. That way I didn't have to spend too much time associating with other people, who were mostly concerned with dancing naked for money. Quote Need help with your computer problems?
