Guest Bigjoe Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Hello, I installed a D-Link Ethernet Card. Now the Windows XP starts to open. Then it takes me back to the screen that tells me Windows was not shut down properly. I have the choice to open in the last known good configuration, safe mode, start windows normally etc. It will not do any of the above, it just keeps rebooting itself. It will not read from the XP CD so I can not repair windows XP. Any suggestions? Thanks Joe

You should also replace your CD drive so that you can read CDs. Without a working CD drive your options of repairing your installation are vry limited.
