i cannt see the usage time of my son's xbox on my family microsoft account

I have tried for hours now to get my son's xbox set up so i can manage his game time, but it doesnt work. His account was orginaolly set up as an adult using my name and an outlook email address. *** Email address is removed for privacy *** I have set this account as a child now (12 years old) and I am trying to view it through Microsoft family but failing to see his gaming time. In fact this eveneing he has been playing for an hour and it says he has not played at all all weel, although im sat next to him playing - i understand i probabbly havent got it set up correctly, but now I have got tied up in knots w
