Guest Krow Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I'm cleaning up two old PC's that run on Windows XP (Home). Like most of the PC's purchased from major retailers, they did not come with a Windows XP CD to reinstall. Both of the PC's have their original Windows authentication codes (product keys). I was wondering if there is a way, since I have everything except the CD itself, to reinstall the Operating System fresh? A download link, etc... If so, please put in detail how and where... It would really help me out. Much thanks, Chris

The OEM is contractually obligated to have provided you with some means of restoring the computer to its original, ex-factory state. -- Bruce Chambers Help us help you: http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. -Benjamin Franklin Many people would rather die than think; in fact, most do. -Bertrand Russell
