Why can't I play Minecraft?

Ever since Mojang made everyone migrate to Microsoft, my Minecraft account hasn't worked. I've reset my password, tried to fix controls, reset the game, updated it, and even moved the launcher to a different file. The error message says: failed to login: null. The weird thing is that it lets me log in, but whenever I join Hypixel it says the error message. My worlds won't load either. I went to the Xbox website where it told me to change my privacy settings, but I can't change them because I'm in a family group. I asked my dad to help me.
