how do you set up a wii to play over the internet

 

i think i've got all the gear to do it but im not sure how

When you start it up its in the options on the main screen - you can just use a wireless dongle and have it use your router :)

so i just plug the router into the pc and the dongle into the wii ?

If the router is set up then yes - the wii with the dongle in will find the router and then you just use whatever type of password you have setup into the wii and it will connect to the router

Yeah I am 99% sure you can use any dongle -

do you mean PS3? PS3 if its close to the router is easier to use an ethernet cable seen people with all sorts of problems trying to setup wireless on them
