Hello Aldin. If you are trying to do a repair installation of Windows XP, then the disc should do fine with the repairing. However, it will not be able to install the updates and patches that might have been included in Service Pack 3. For that, you will have to repair your computer and redownload them. If you want to make your computer bootable for now, then the disk should easily help you that far without any problems. :)

Note: If you have Internet Explorer 7, remove it BEFORE doing an XP Repair.

Also if you are using Nero 7, you may find that your CD/DVD Drives may not be detected after the Repair...Might want to uninstall that Nero7 also if your using it.

I would suggest, recommend even, making a new XP installation CD with SP3 slipstreamed into it.

And do you repair install with your newly created, bang up to date, XP-SP3 CD

You will need:

Original XP install CD

full SP3 file - HERE

Nlite

Blank CD

More info on the procedure HERE

I have slipstreamed Service Packs into my XP install CDs ever since SP1a came out.

I would do the reinstall and THEN install the service packs - until SP3 is more stable I would not create a disk using the NLITE method.

What was the reason you wanted to do a repair in the first place??

Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)

Asus P5K premium black pearl

4GB OCZ Reaper 8500

260GTX
