Reinstalling Windows 11 (and keeping current files) when the version on computer is non-functional.

I seem to have terminally corrupted the copy of Windows 11 on my computer. I have tried going to the Restore screen (alternate power on/power off until it appears) but was not successful getting a fix (and now I can't seem to get to that screen at all). All I now have for the last 24+ hours is a please wait screen. I have created a reinstall Windows 11 USB drive from the Microsoft site but it only will work if there's currently a functioning version of Windows present and mine isn't.I need to keep the files that are currently on the computer so a clean install is out. What can I do now?
