how do I delete scrolling shortcuts and ads on my MSN home page. Takes up so much room

My MSN home page has scrollling ads (RtoL) AND shortcuts to apps, under them, and they take up so much room on the page. I can't even see the whole MSN news without scrolling up and down. I don't know how else to explain it. Also, I tried to remove the big BING search strip which is there, too, but it is still there. Please help me. Thanks so much .
