Turn 'Word Wrap' off default in Notepad

My PC has recently updated, and with it a new version of Notepad has shown up (this is the first time I've seen tabs in a notepad).Frustratingly, Word Wrap is now ticked on by default whenever a notepad is opened. I don't want it on, ever. I have no idea how to set it so that Word Wrap is unticked by default. I've tried opening an existing note I have saved, unticking the Word Wrap option under the View section, then saving the note. When I go back in it is again defaulting to Word Wrap.This has thrown all of my saved work off and it's going to be frustrating as hell if I need to go in and man
