Hello All -

I am unclear on on the proper memory and profile settings for

users on a Terminal server with 2-Quad core cpu's and 16GB

of RAM. 32-but enterprise R2

Currently i have the PAE switch and userva=3030, also the users on the

TS are not using the ts profile setting of there usernames.

What are the correct profile settings?

Why would a user need a second profile tab for there profiles?

What are the correct memory settings?

There are about 50 users, well on there way to about 75 by years end.

Robert

Hi Robert,

I'd suggest reading through a few of these guides if you haven't already,

often times your server settings depend on how your server will be used &

what applications it'll be hosting. But there's a few best practices and

such that might help you determine what those settings are:

TS Guide:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/technetmag/issues/2007/05/TerminalServices/default.aspx

TS Best Practices:

http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/7c5ff862-ec28-4d62-b1d5-79c4bd544b361033.mspx?mfr=true

User Profile Info:

http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/23ee2a30-5883-4ffa-b4cf-4cfff3ff8cb71033.mspx?mfr=true

Hope this helps,

Drew
