Guest Rickster21a Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I have used File Scavanger to recover a hard drive partition that had a corrupted MTF, to a fresh hard drive. Now that I have reformated the original hard drive partition, I need to put them back. I am trying to copy more then 5 million small (11-15 KB) files (in 90 folders) from one hard drive partition to another. I am looking for the best way to do this . The drag and drop method does not work (it works some times if I copy only a few folders at a time), as the system gets hung up. Xcopy tends to work, unless if finds an error on the NTFS MFT, or it runs out of resources and crashes out. Is there any trick, hint, command, or 3rd party software that will alow me to copy the files with out my intervention. This is not the first time I have done this, and it will not be my last. ;) Please HELP!
