Guest filmbakra@gmail.com Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Hi, I would like to switch from user A to user B in windows XP automatically. I searched and found out that "%windir% \system32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation" will automatically switch user A. But, how to automatically login user B? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Vishnu.

Guest Doug Knox - [MS-MVP] Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Re: Switch User and Login another user There is no way to automatically log in the second user while the first user still has a logged on session. Even if the first user logs off, not just "locked", you would still have to select user B and, if there is one, enter the password for their account. -- Doug Knox, MS-MVP Windows Media Center\Windows Powered Smart Display\Security Win 95/98/Me/XP Tweaks and Fixes http://www.dougknox.com -------------------------------- Per user Group Policy Restrictions for XP Home and XP Pro http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_securityconsole.htm -------------------------------- Please reply only to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
