Windows 10 at log-in won't recognize ANY alphanumeric inputs from built-in, on screen, or external keyboard: CAN'T LOG IN

Am on Windows 10, unable to confirm exact build, running on an Asus zenbook duo.After a full normal day of use, which DID include loading some new programs, powered down computer like normal.Next day, turn on laptop and it loads to the usual log-in screen, however it will not recognize ANY alphanumeric inputs. I can navigate to and open the onscreen keyboard, but pressing alphanumerics there doesn't work either.As a result I simply can't get a character to register in the PIN field so I can't log in at all.External USB keyboard is the exact same thing.
