Guest user Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I have quota's set on a volume but they do not update. According to the quota entry list one user has used 826Mb of 2Gb limit but when I look at thier folder properties it tells me that the size is 6.3Gb! This happens for all users and also new users do not get added to the quota. I've tried disabling/enabling quota but after it rescans it just presents back the original entries. The settings I have are: Enable quota Limit space to 2Gb Set warning 1.75Gb Log event when user exceeds. All other options are off. Any thoughts? Bilbo
Guest Myweb Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Re: Quota entries - Server 2003 Std R2 Hello user" a, Did you use the FSRM for configuring the quotas? Maybe check with this article to apply templates: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/technetmag/issues/2006/05/GetControl/default.aspx Best regards Myweb Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. > I have quota's set on a volume but they do not update. > According to the quota entry list one user has used 826Mb of 2Gb limit > but > when I look at thier folder properties it tells me that the size is > 6.3Gb! > This happens for all users and also new users do not get added to the > quota. > I've tried disabling/enabling quota but after it rescans it just > presents back the original entries. > > The settings I have are: > Enable quota > Limit space to 2Gb > Set warning 1.75Gb > Log event when user exceeds. > All other options are off. > > Any thoughts? > Bilbo
Guest Marcel Heek Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Re: Quota entries - Server 2003 Std R2 Bilbo, Did you us FSRM to assign a quota to a folder. If yes, then use auto-assigned Quota entries with a hard limit. Hard limits takes care of only showing the quota free space instead of Volume free space. regards, Marcel "user" <a> wrote in message news:uN4Jt4n2HHA.6072@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > I have quota's set on a volume but they do not update. > According to the quota entry list one user has used 826Mb of 2Gb limit but > when I look at thier folder properties it tells me that the size is 6.3Gb! > This happens for all users and also new users do not get added to the > quota. > > I've tried disabling/enabling quota but after it rescans it just presents > back the original entries. > > The settings I have are: > Enable quota > Limit space to 2Gb > Set warning 1.75Gb > Log event when user exceeds. > > All other options are off. > > Any thoughts? > Bilbo >
