STOP Photos from autorunning when I connect a Camer

This is driving me nuts. I use proprietory software for a camera (Canon) when I plug in via USB the Canon software (used to) load(s) and lets me select a number of helpful options, primarily, download unsaved images, i.e. it 'remembers' images saved previously.Now Win 11 has taken it upon itself to open the (awful) photo app and then proceed to open / list ALL the images on the camera, no thank you.1. How can I specify the PC uses the Canon s/w what the camera is connected on USB?2. How can I KILL Photo app?It is NOT up to Microsoft to force me to use something I do not want, I am quite happy
