Migration plans and possibilites

Hi all,

I have 2 DCs running Windows 2003 in Windows 2000 native mode, on one of

them there is Exchange 2003 SP2. Not reccomended configuration, but working.

I need to migrate them into 3 new servers, new AD domain, 2DCs, 3rd will be

member server running Exchange 2003.

Around 200 user accounts (with mailboxes), similar number of PCs. Some users

have home directories.

What are possibilites to migrate old configuration into new one? All needs

to be done within 48 hrs, possibly without much interruption for users.

Thanks for any input.

Hello Chris,

Thank you for using newsgroup!

From your post, because the configuration is not recommended, we cannot

make sure what happen during the migration. What is the not recommended

configuration?

Thanks & Regards,

Ken Zhao

It is not reccomended to run Exchange 2003 on Domain Controller - and this

is my case. One of the reasons for this migration is to move exchange to

member server.

Hello Chris,

Actually, this is not a recommended configuration. For Exchange Server

migration, you may use Exchange Migration Wizard.
