Guest mgm Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Can anyone tell me if Terminal Services is available for XP home and if Win Vista all versions includes Terminal Services. My new laptop has Vista and I want to access my home desktop (xp home) during my vacation. Any ideas on how to do this would be appreciated.

You need a third-party product such as WinVNC.

Note as well that you may need to set up a DDNS client so that you have a stable address to connect to, and when you do that, that you must also be sure that you have adequate security in place. Otherwise, you may find that you've had visitors while you were away. And of course your router must be configured to allow traffic on the correct ports. HTH -pk
