Hi!

Could someone please help. I have been able to recover from many incidents

but am stuck on this one. The computer will not boot into Windows but will

allow me to start in safe mode. I have already restored to a previous date.

No luck. Putting in the Windows disc didn't help either. Presumeably my

problem is a driver but how do I find out which one. I haven't installed any

new programs or hardware for a few weeks.

Cheers

Re: Windows XP Startup

try pressing and holding down

the shift key right after you

select "normal boot" from

the menu.

keep it held down until the icons

on the desktop begin to appear.

there are a number of possible

causes for your issue. however,

this trick may or may not work

for this particular instance.

RE: Windows XP Startup

Instead of safemode try selecting the other option "Enable VGA.." If Windows

boot, go to the Display properties in the control panel and try to change

your settings. Yesterday mine was set at 640x480, 16 colors and 4 bit and

windows won't boot normal. I don't know why?
