Guest Robert Armstrong Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Some time ago I downloaded a beta version of Micosoft Office Visio Professional 2007 (Beta) [Version 12.0.4017.1006] I did nothing with it, but recently Windows wanted to validate the authenticity of my software for some reason. Everything was OK except for this beta program, so I decided to uninstall it. When I did I got the following error message : Setup Error Setup cannot find the required setup controller file. Either there was a network error, an error reading from the CD, DVD, or other installation media,or a problem with the package you downladed. Any suggestions what to do? -- Robert from Accrington

Guest Robert Armstrong Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Re: Uninstalling A downladed version of a beta product I can't reinstall it as I don't have the relevant program anymore. I deleted it after I uninstalled all the other 2007 beta programs. I simply wasn't thorough enough. -- Robert from Accrington "Malke" wrote: > Robert Armstrong wrote: > > Some time ago I downloaded a beta version of Micosoft Office Visio > > Professional 2007 (Beta) [Version 12.0.4017.1006] > > I did nothing with it, but recently Windows wanted to validate the > > authenticity of my software for some reason. They will be able to tell you how to accomplish the complete uninstall of their program. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers http://www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User
