Apparently some protion of the telephony service components is damanged on a

Windows 2003 server. The telephony service will not start and when you use

the telephony snap in, you cannont manage any providers. In fact the

providers is greyed out and no providers are listed for the server. If

anyone knows a way to restore this service I would appreciate the input.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Eric,

Do you have any related error codes in your event log?

Hi Harley,

Make sure that the services the telephony service depends on are started and

set to automatic.

If they are and you still have the issue..check in your registry that you

have a Tapisrv string entry (and Tapisrv as the data) within

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SvcHost
