Guest Stan2w Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I work for a public safety department in the D/FW area. We are close to implementing a new Computer Aid Dispatch system. We have 4 screens connected to one computer, which we can move the different queues where we want them. The problem we have run into is that the company is saying that we have only 2 options. 1. Set it up so that the computer thinks that all 4 monitors are 1 screen, and the task bar goes across all 4 screens, to allow us to save where we place our queues. The downfall of this is if you open a window fully, it goes over all 4 screens, and some emergency "pop boxes" that we use split between screens 2 and 3. The second option is that we go back to all 4 monitors being seperate, but that we would have to put our queues manually back to where we want them everytime we sit back down at the console. Is there anything in XP that we can use to keep the queues where we want them and so we don't have to have the computer think that all 4 screens are just 1 monitor?? -- Stan

That would be controlled more by the software being used than the OS the software is being ran on. Third party multi-monitor software also comes to mind as a possible solution - maybe... Guest DL Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Re: Multiple monitors That sort of thing is controlled by multimonitor software installed if you are using eg Nvidea or Matrox video hardware ie a user defined keyboard sequence moves the current window to monitor # "Shenan Stanley" <newshelper@gmail.com> wrote in message news:O8v6im22HHA.6128@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Stan2w wrote: >> I work for a public safety department in the D/FW area.
