Can't get HDR and 144hz refresh rate to work properly. I'm getting visual bugs and rainbow dots all over my screen.

Hey everyone, I really need help with the following problem: I recently bought a LG Ultragear Monitor with 144hz capabilities. Today I tried to watch some HBO Max and it automatically switched into HDR mode and suddenly multiple coloured dots appeared on my screen. At first I thought that maybe it was because the HDMI cable that I've been using is old, so i switched it for a known-good cable (HDMI 2.1., to be precise), but the same problem continued. Later I realized that these dots wouldn't appear if used a lesser refresh rate, even if HDR was turned on, but whenever I changed the refresh rat
