Guest homeboarder8 Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Currently I am running Windows Server 2003, it is on a workstation setup. When I try to setup the server to be a Primary Domain Controller (Start-Run-dcpromo) It says "Windows cannot find 'dcpromo'..." So I did a search for dcpromo.exe... nothing. Is there another way to change from a workstation to PDC? Any help will be appriciated. Guest Myweb Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Re: DCPROMO Missing? Hello homeboarder8, It sounds a littlebit confusing. 2003 is a server operating system not a workstation. So what OS did you use? 2003 standard, 2003 enterprise 2003 datacenter or maybe 2003 web edition. On 2003 webedition you can't run dcpromo. Guest Myweb Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Re: DCPROMO Missing? Hello vidguide@gmail.com, It is just a .exe file in the system32 folder, not to install via add/remove programs. The version 2003 is needed to help further.
