I need help in demystifying loss of password for win 10 local account after trying to fix corrupt recycle bin lock up.

Hi :) I am working on a family computer with little sleep now. Like mine, it has had auto login and no prompt for password after wake state for a decade.The original issue is that after an update (march 15) on a feature update from last July ... computer booted up to the purple screen saying find out what's new,But when clicked, a message that recycle bin was corrupted ... with a yes or no prompt that did nothing. frozen screen.After a few power downs and prayer ... was actually able to click on the no button and get into the system. ran sfc /scannow and it did find and fix corrupti
