Windows (11) update failed. Now Windows won't start. Get Blue Repair screen instead. Auto repair fails.

After months of repeated fails by Windows to automatically install the latest update, I manually downloaded the latest x64 update (I don't recall the KB#) directly from MS.When the update was finally complete and the computer rebooted, the common "update" text appeared and the update proceeded normally (rebooting at 30%, returning, finishing, yet failed.)It attempted a repair and rebooted again. When the computer restarts, it now takes me to the blue Repair screen with two options: "Reinstall Windows" & "Advanced Options."I don't want to do a reinstall, so I tried repair, but the auto-repa
