hello,i had owned a pc,with this specs attached,i need to format it,as it is pentium 3,is the windows xp ok for it or there is any comparison of windows for pentium 3 and pentium 4 pc

's ?

I put your zip files information in your post as not everyone can unzip them.

 

You could probably get XP to run on it but you won't be happy with how well it runs. With those specs Windows ME is probably the latest version that would function well. Since ME is no longer supported I don't suggest that. Since XP really needs more RAM and a higher processor I don't recommend that either.

I agree with Randy, Windows ME is probably your best choice, I find that Windows XP( Any Platform) needs atleast 1.5Ghz Processor, and about 512mbRam to run smoothly

Yes you can run Windows XP on those specs.

 

I had windows XP on a Pentium III 450MHz with only 128MB of RAM and it was fine (just very slow :p)

As Maynard has said it will work - what capacity HDD do you have as XP requires much more than ME
