RandyL Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Hi dorsil; I put your zip files information in your post as not everyone can unzip them. You could probably get XP to run on it but you won't be happy with how well it runs. With those specs Windows ME is probably the latest version that would function well. Since ME is no longer supported I don't suggest that. Since XP really needs more RAM and a higher processor I don't recommend that either. Quote We are all members helping other members. GreyCell1988 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 I agree with Randy, Windows ME is probably your best choice, I find that Windows XP( Any Platform) needs atleast 1.5Ghz Processor, and about 512mbRam to run smoothly Quote
maynardvdm Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Yes you can run Windows XP on those specs. I had windows XP on a Pentium III 450MHz with only 128MB of RAM and it was fine (just very slow :p) Quote We are all members helping other members. Dalo Harkin Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 As Maynard has said it will work - what capacity HDD do you have as XP requires much more than ME Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
