Guest toreilly Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 My Inspiron 8200 does not see any infra red device when it is in range unless I start a HotSynch on the device.. Infrared driver is up to date and enabled. I am now using a Palm T/X Handheld. It is a new installation, previously had a Tungsten E with which I had no problem. Any comments advise would be appreciated. tom

The only other workaround is, as I describe there, to buy a USB IrDA device which will do the queries a bit slower... -- Alan J.
