Where'd you get this *.img file?

(Be exact.)

What *is* this *.img file supposed to be?

What does it say to do with it from where you got it?

Assuming you downloaded a CD/DVD image, you might try this freeware

(assuming you do not have a CD/DVD burning application that can take that

CD/DVD image and burn it to the proper media for you):

Folks:

I recently downloaded an IMG file from Microsoft's website.

* Can anyone recommend software that can be used to open/access these IMG

files ?

Thanks,

Jo

Probably a compressed disk image (like .iso) that you use to burn software

to a CDROM or DVD disk.

What did the site page say about the download? Microsoft has a description

about the downloads on each download page.

You need to burn the ISO file on a CD by a burner, try to download it from

here:

http://www.ntfs.com/iso-burning.htm

Or a complete program but it will not be free, trail:

http://www.roxio.com/

http://www.nero.com/enu/index.html

Also you can Rename the IMG to ISO and burn it to a CD/DVD or Desktop to

install from it.
