keyboard stops working

Recommended Posts

Hey:

After a shutdown or standby my keyboard will not work sometimes. In device

manager, the yellow flag is visible. I "uninstall," reboot and it will work

again. Never have used a disc for the keyboard, it has always worked off

generic drivers (?)

Thank you,

I would try another keyboard, perhaps a borrowed one

from a friend.

Is the keyboard wireless or wired? Is the problem with all keys are

some? What is the make and model of the keyboard?

Re: keyboard stops working

It is a wired (USB) keyboard. All keys are out and there are no lights

either. The make? Oh, it's a "DYNEX." Had it over a year, no problem before.

Hi Ed,

Sounds like a flakey USB port. Try a different one if available, and a

different USB keyboard to isolate this.
