Guest Rzpogi Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I read an article about this saying," If you press windows key+E for more than 5 secs, infinite My Computer windows will show then windows will crash. I tried it and many My Computer showed up but my pc did not crash because I was able to close all of it. My friend tried on the school computer and the same thing but he reseted the pc because he cannot catch up closing it and near crashing. Is there a update or quick solution to this? Note:this applies to Windows XP and Vista

Guest dobey Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Re: Windows Key +E = crash I ended up with about 130 windows after 5 seconds, (and a few more waiting). I expect an older machine with low memory this would grind to a halt. I have my taskbar grouped by type, so I was able to right-click on the taskbar and close them all at once. It is odd though, as if I have an instance of My computer open, and I double-click my computer again another window does not appear, it just brings the existing one in focus, unless I have browsed away from My Computers initial view. Obviously windows is a little overzealous of opening explorers, but, well, you are holding down the key ...
