Emachine died need help

I have a Emachine t2742 that I was having trouble with, when I put it on stand by and then you wanted to wake it up and use it, it won't wake up and I would have to shut it down and re-log in again, then one morning I was going to log-in and it wouldn't start at all, just like there was no power to it. since then I have bought this Dell 531s and have been using it, but I have some picture on the old Emachine that I would like to retrieve from my documents file, Is there any way to retrieve them?? also, I have an old Cannon BJC2000 printer that won't plug in to this new Dell, are there any adapter that I can buy so that I can use the BJC2000 and where can I buy one?? Hey buddy, as far as your pictures on your old Emachine t2742 goes, you could try opening it up and taking the hard-drive out, and fitting it into your new computer, running your operating system finding the files you want, then slam them onto your new computers hard-drive, that should get you the files you want.
