Guest Gerry Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Re: Memory write error Jeff What are your anti-spyware arrangements? A complete copy of the Event Viewer Report might help us to diagnose the problem. A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer. -- Hope this helps. Do you mean from the Windows Update web site? What updates were applied? Have you tried removing those specific updates using Add/Remove programs, then do a system restore to before the updates were applied? -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell]
Guest Lil' Dave Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Re: Memory write error Have seen similar regarding ccsetmgr.exe (NAV 2004). Only happened at shutdown intermittently. Went away for no reason apparent to me. I was playing with enabling/disabling write caching to all onboard physical hard drives in device manager. Left it disabled for a couple of days. After putting it back to enable, the problem has not reoccurred since. Its been a month or so.
