Guest Xaos Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 You know when you click START>PROGRAMS, you get a list of all the programs that are on your computer. Then if you move the mouse over one of the folders, like MICROSOFT, you'll see WORD, OUTLOOK, ACCESS etc.... Is there a way for me to create my own menus like that. I want to click START, and them have a folder that has ADOBE,MICROSOFT, SYMANTEC, ETC.... so that when I want to run one of those programs, I don't have to do a lot of searching. There should be a way for me to do that easily, right? Thanks in advance for your help! Chaz

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users|Start Menu\Programs Create a new folder there, and call it by whatever name you want to appear on Start | Programs. Then put shortcuts to whatever programs you want within it. You can can also put subfolders in it and put the shortcuts in the subfolders. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP Windows - Shell/User Please Reply to the Newsgroup

If you want the menus to apply to all users, choose "explore all users".
Guest Xaos Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Re: Making my own START Menu Great! That worked perfectly! I know I'm pressing my luck, but is there any way to get this to show up on the start menu, right above the programs I use the most? Thanks again! Guest dobey Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Re: Making my own START Menu Select and hold down left mouse button on the link you want and just drag the folder/program there. You could place the folder on the Taskbar as a toolbar.. Right-click the Taskbar, click Toolbars, New Toolbar, browse to the folder. -- Joe =o)
