Guest Bash2a Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Hello everybody i'm Bash2a. I have a problem with my system restore in Windows XP. I wanted to restore something that i did in my guest account because i allowed things to be installed to it without my permission by accident. So i tryed doing system resotre and it said that system restore is incomplete i did this 5 times and it didn't work. i also tried to do system restore on a program that i installed but it didn't work either. Yes i checked the settings and everything was the way it was suppost to, to make system restore work. HELP? NOTE: i also have an anti-virus software called Norton 360. does this affect system restore? if so, how can i fix this?

As an adjunct to Gerry's reply, it's best to first uninstall any unwanted software using Add/Remove programs, and then use system restore to go back to a previous date. Using system restore to remove a software install only deals with monitored files which can leave other parts of the install still around. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell]

I'm using Norton 360 and there is no mescellenous option.
