Start>Run>bthprops.cpl (that's cpL not cpi).

Also, have you got a bluetooth dongle (USB connector)?

No bluetooth icon in system tray or control panel sounds a lot like a

pc that does not have bluetooth.

install bluetooth HARDWARE before expecting the software to appear :)

From your link.:

"To install a Bluetooth device, you only have to connect it. Microsoft

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) includes drivers for many Bluetooth

devices. If Windows does not recognize a Bluetooth device, you can still

use it by using the generic software support that Windows includes, or

you can use the driver that the device manufacturer provides. To add a

Bluetooth device to your computer, you can use the Add Bluetooth Device

Wizard. To configure a Bluetooth connection, you use the Bluetooth

Devices item in Control Panel."

Has drivers to support many bluetooth devices AND "If Windows does not

recognize a Bluetooth device, you can still use it by using the generic

software support that Windows includes, OR you can use the driver that

the device manufacturer provides."

Do you actually have bluetooth hardware? Most Desktop PCs do not

feature this hardware. if you do, check your device manager control

panel, and make sure windows has actually detected the hardware, then

you can look at finding drivers for it, but i'd hazzard a guess you

either dont have the hardware, or its not yet detected by windows or

functional. (also a tip, if its a laptop, often there is a Fn + key

press to enable/disable bluetooth in hardware)

It's not me that has the problem. I've already asked the OP if they had

a USB connector/dongle.
